What is Club Air, in one sentence?

We turn your backyard into a private nightclub - inflatable tent, JBL sound, club lighting, smoke and red carpet - set up in about 60 minutes. You bring the people, we bring the club.

Where do you go?

All over Sydney - Western Sydney is home base (Parramatta, Blacktown, Penrith, Mount Druitt, Hills) and we cover the Inner West, Eastern Subs, Northern Beaches, Cronulla and Sutherland too. Outside Sydney metro, ask us - we'll quote travel.

Question 3

Do you do weekdays?

Accepted Answer

No. Weekends only. Friday, Saturday, Sunday - school formals, 18ths, 21sts, 30ths, 40ths, divorces, engagement parties, hens, bucks, footy grand finals. If it's worth a club for the night, it's a weekend.

Question 4

Indoor or outdoor?

Accepted Answer

Outdoor on a flat, open backyard or paddock is the move. The tent needs ground stakes driven at least 400mm down at every anchor point, both doors fully open while it's inflated, and clear space around it - no overhead obstacles. If you've got a venue or hall in mind, message us first so we can sanity-check the site.

How do I actually book?

Pick your package and date on the booking page, pay the deposit, and your night is held. We hold pending dates for 15 minutes during checkout so two people can't grab the same date by accident.

When is the balance due?

Accepted Answer

The remaining balance is due no less than 7 days before your event. We'll send you a reminder - no surprises.

Question 7

Do I have to sign anything?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The Service Agreement secures the legal side and must be signed and returned no later than 5 business days before your event. If we don't have a signed agreement by that deadline we can't proceed and the booking may be cancelled (and the cancellation policy below kicks in).

What happens if I pay late?

Anything unpaid past the due date accrues interest at 1% per month, capitalised monthly. We'd rather not - just pay on time and we're sweet.

Are your prices including GST?

Accepted Answer

Prices on the site are the all-up price you pay. Any rate-card amounts in the contract are quoted exclusive of GST and GST is added on top of those.

Question 10

What's the cancellation policy?

Accepted Answer

Sliding scale based on how much notice we get before scheduled arrival: more than 7 days - no fee. 72 hours to 7 days - 10% of the fee. 24 to 72 hours - 50%. Less than 24 hours - 100%. The earlier you tell us, the cheaper it is.

Can I postpone instead of cancel?

Yes - we'll do our best to slot you into a new date. If you give us at least 7 days notice, no cancellation fee applies on the postponement (you may pay a difference if location or pricing changes). Less than 7 days notice and the cancellation scale above applies on top of the new booking.

What if it's an act of God - storm, lockdown, that kind of thing?

Force Majeure events (severe weather, fire, flood, government orders, etc.) are not a breach by you and you're not on the hook for fees that didn't get delivered because of it. We'll work with you on a new date.

How long does setup take?

Accepted Answer

About 60 minutes from truck to ready-to-rage, assuming clean access and a flat site.

What does my site need?

Accepted Answer

Flat ground that takes a 400mm stake at every anchor point - no irrigation lines, electrical cables, water pipes, gas lines or comms cables under the anchor points. No overhead obstacles. Clear approach and departure paths for the truck. Adequate parking. If we're staying past dark, lighting too.

Do you supply power?

No - you supply continuous, uninterrupted power for the entire hire. The blower (test-and-tagged) and an RCD safety switch come with the kit. If the power drops out, the tent deflates. Don't run it off a dodgy extension lead from three houses away.

Question 16

What if my yard isn't suitable?

Accepted Answer

We may inspect the site before the event. If we judge it unsafe we can ask you to fix it, propose another spot, or - worst case - terminate the booking. We'd rather flag this early, so message photos of your space if you're not sure.

Question 17

How many people fit inside?

Accepted Answer

Dry Hire: max 14 people in the tent at any one time. Wet Hire (with one of our operators): max 20. These limits are set in writing - going over them voids cover and is on you.

Question 18

Who's responsible for safety on the night?

Accepted Answer

You are. Once the kit is set up and signed for, the safety of the site, the guests, crowd control, security, emergency access and pedestrian flow sit with you as the client. We give you the gear, the guidance, the wind meter and the rules - running the night safely is on the host.

Question 19

Can drunk or off-their-face guests use it?

Accepted Answer

No. Don't let people under the influence of alcohol or drugs use the tent. Same goes for guests who need real assistance - they need a sober supervisor with them. Our operator (Wet Hire) can refuse service to anyone they judge a risk.

Question 20

Strobes, lasers, smoke - anything to know?

Accepted Answer

Strobe and laser effects can affect people with epilepsy or photosensitivity. As the host you accept liability for any extra effects you add or how the lighting is used.

Question 21

Will wind cancel my event?

Accepted Answer

It can. Inflatables are wind-sensitive. We supply a Kestrel 1000 wind meter (or similar) plus the manufacturer's instructions. You measure wind speed at intervals during the event and immediately stop using the tent if speeds go over the documented limits.

Question 22

Why am I the one taking wind readings?

On Dry Hire we're not on-site, so we can't see what your conditions are doing. The wind meter and the call to keep going or shut down sit with you, the host. We provide the device and clear guidance - the rest is on the ground.

Question 23

What about rain or storms?

Accepted Answer

Light rain is usually fine. Extreme precipitation, approaching storm fronts or unsafe wind = stop. If we're delivering and conditions are obviously unsafe, we have full discretion to suspend or cancel for safety.

Question 24

What if the tent gets damaged?

Tell us straight away. We assess in writing within 2 business days. If it's repairable, you cover the actual repair cost plus a 15% admin fee. If it's beyond repair (or repair is more than 70% of replacement value), the full replacement cost is $9,800 plus a 15% admin fee. Invoices are payable within 14 days.

Do you photograph the tent before and after?

Always. We take timestamped photos on delivery, after setup, before pack down and after pack down - including close-ups of any existing marks. You're welcome to be present, request extra shots, or note disagreements in writing at the time. Those photos are the evidence if there's a damage claim.

What's not counted as damage?

Accepted Answer

Fair wear and tear from normal use, anything we noted in writing as pre-existing before the event, and any equipment failure where you've followed every obligation under the agreement.

Can I add my own gear - speakers, lights, fog machines?

Third-party equipment is allowed with operator approval (Wet Hire) and only if it's fully compatible. You're responsible for maintaining, repairing and insuring anything you bring. If it damages our gear, that's on you under the damage clause above.

What's the difference?

Dry Hire = you hire just the equipment, we deliver and set up, you run the night. Max 14 inside. Wet Hire = you also get one of our operators on-site to manage the kit. Max 20 inside. Extra crew is available at the rate-card rate.

Question 29

What does the operator actually do?

Accepted Answer

Runs the equipment safely, manages the gear, calls weather and wind decisions on the spot, and works with you on safe procedures. They are not security, bar staff, photographers, or babysitters - and they can stop the night immediately if safety conditions are breached.

Do I need to feed the crew?

Accepted Answer

If we're on-site for an extended period you'll need to provide toilet and rest facilities, and protect the crew area from other event activity. For long events, a feed and water never goes astray.

Are you insured?

Accepted Answer

Yes - public liability of no less than $10 million. You're required to hold the same level for the duration of the event. Both policies need to cover injury, death and property damage tied to the event.

Permits and approvals - who sorts those?

Accepted Answer

You do. Any council, venue or government approval, permit or licence required for the event (including outside broadcast or filming) is the client's responsibility and at the client's cost.
