Inflatable nightclub hire in Sydney — explained properly.
An inflatable nightclub is a self-contained, blacked-out tent kitted out with club lighting, a JBL sound system, smoke and a red carpet — wheeled into your backyard and inflated in under an hour. This page walks through exactly what Club Air is, how the day runs, the space you need, what's included, what it costs, and every FAQ we get asked.

What an inflatable
nightclub actually is.
Picture a heavy-duty inflatable tent — 4.5 metres wide, 5.5 metres long, 4.2 metres tall. The walls and roof are blacked out so the moment you step through the red-carpet entry, you're not in a backyard anymore. Inside: programmable nightclub lighting that reacts to the music, a smoke machine that gives the lights something to cut through, a hanging disco ball, and a JBL PartyBox sound system you can stream straight from your phone.
It's not a marquee with fairy lights. It's not a bouncy castle for adults. It's a self-contained club we install on grass in backyards, side lawns and parks across Sydney — set up by our crew in under an hour, packed down at the end with zero effort from you. (Grass only — our engineering certification doesn't permit hard-surface setups.)
How it works on the day.
Five steps, start to finish. You don't lift, plug, peg or pack a single thing.

Setup space

Sydney backyards aren't what they used to be. Townhouses, terraces, duplexes — we built Club Air for that reality. Here's exactly what we need on the day:

Safety, insurance
& the boring bits.
Getting the official stuff sorted took longer than building the tent. Try explaining to insurance companies that you want to cover an inflatable nightclub — we got more blank stares than a mime at a karaoke bar. We got there. Here's where we landed:

What exactly is an inflatable nightclub?
It's a self-contained, blacked-out inflatable tent that we kit out with a JBL PartyBox sound system, programmable nightclub lighting, a smoke machine and a red carpet entry. Walk through the door and you're in a proper club — except it's parked on the grass in your Sydney backyard.

The club itself is 4.5m wide × 5.5m long × 4.2m tall when inflated. For setup we ask for 6.5m wide × 7.5m long of clear, level grass — our engineering certification only permits anchoring into grass, so concrete, pavers, decking and artificial turf aren't suitable. We also need a 90cm-wide path to wheel the gear in from the kerb, plus two standard 240V power outlets within 25m.
How many people does it fit?

How many people does it fit?
Around 20 guests comfortably inside on the dance floor at any one time, with plenty of flow in and out. Most of our parties are 25–60 guests total — people rotate between the club, the food and the chats outside.

How long does setup and pack-down take?
We arrive about an hour before your booking starts and have the whole thing inflated, lit, and ready to vibe in roughly 45 minutes. At the end we pack down in about 30 minutes. You don't lift a finger.

Three flat-price packages: 4 hours for $495, 5 hours for $550, or Overnight (we set up in the afternoon and pack down the next morning) for $825. Travel inside our standard Sydney radius is included; we'll quote any travel fee upfront before you pay.
Is it safe? What about insurance?
+
Is it safe? What about insurance?
Yes. The tent is built from 180kg of non-flammable material, certified to Australian standards, and we carry $10M public liability insurance. Our crew anchors it properly on the day and runs through the safety bits before we leave you to it.
Can it go on concrete, pavers or decking?
+
Can it go on concrete, pavers or decking?
No — and we won't pretend otherwise. Our engineering certification only permits anchoring into grass, so we're grass-only. That covers backyards, side lawns and parks (with council approval). If you've only got hard surfaces, get in touch and we'll help you find a workaround or another supplier.
Does it work if it rains?
+
Does it work if it rains?
The tent itself is weather-resistant and the party usually rolls on. For heavy storms or high wind we'll talk to you in advance — safety first, always. See our rain policy for the full detail.

What suburbs do you cover?
We service Greater Sydney — Western Sydney, Inner West, Eastern Suburbs, North Shore, the Hills and out to Penrith, Blacktown, Parramatta and Mount Druitt. If you're outside that radius, ask us and we'll quote travel honestly.

100%. The JBL PartyBox is Bluetooth-ready. Stream Spotify, Apple Music, or hand it to your mate who fancies themselves a DJ. The lighting reacts to the music automatically.
What if my neighbours complain?
+
What if my neighbours complain?
Most Sydney councils have noise limits after 10pm in residential areas. The sound is loud enough for a proper party but contained inside the tent, which dampens it. We recommend a quick heads-up to the neighbours and wrapping up by midnight for backyard bookings.
Can I buy one instead of hiring?
+
Can I buy one instead of hiring?
We don't sell them — we're a hire-only business based in Western Sydney. If you want the experience for one night without storing 180kg of vinyl in your garage, hire is the move.
The best part? Watching people's faces when we're all set up. No one expects a proper nightclub to pop up at a party. But once those lights are going and the music's pumping — it's game on. We've seen the most unexpected dance moves and biggest smiles from people of all ages.
Ready to be the friend with a pop-up nightclub in their back pocket?
Pick a date, pick a package, we handle the rest. Most weekends book out 4–6 weeks ahead — lock yours in before someone else does.
